MANETs: Challenges and Future Research Scope

MANET (Mobile Ad hoc Network) is an ad network that may be constructed on demand. Due to its dynamic nature, it allows nodes in the communicate with each other without use of any infrastructure. When compared conventional wireless networks, MANET's on-demand setup makes more popular. Conventional networks require a central authority for overall system operations, while infrastructure-less and self-organized generally wise choice when comes certain application areas like military communication natural disasters, man-made emergencies, rescue procedures, vehicular (VANET) sharing information among vehicles as well providing traffic conditions warnings. This new network, however, faces several challenges difficulties, including compromised security, routing issues, cooperation, multicasting, power efficiency, IP addressing, QoS etc., must properly taken care before can deployed real-time. The current paper provides full analysis MANET, problems, concerns, possible research topics, which will very useful academics who want begin their work this subject.
